Andrea is a Research Analyst at CDDEP, based in Washington, DC. She received a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from Yale University with a concentration in in Global Health and Disaster Management, where she also wrote for and edited the Yale Journal of Public Health. She completed thesis research on public health disaster management for glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) in Bhutan. Andrea is interested in medicine, art, design and disaster studies and on weekends volunteers as an EMT with the Silver Spring Fire Department in Silver Spring, MD. She’ll read just about anything once and in her free time enjoys playing music, spending time outdoors, cooking and watching baseball.
