Mirella Smith

Research Admin Assistant
Mirella Smith is a Research Admin Assistant based in the Washington D.C. office. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Old Dominion University where spent her last year and a half as a Research Assistant in the Alcohol and Behavior Research Lab. Post-college, Mirella spent six months in Switzerland interning at the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research, specifically focusing on the Early Childhood Development (ECD). While she was there, Mirella created and implemented a new training module covering ECD in the context of Maternal Depression for an online course, established annually by the World Health Organization and enrolling over 400 health professionals globally. This is where she developed an interest in addressing public heath issues in marginalized populations and low- and middle-income countries. Mirella spends her free time collecting music and following around her favorite bands, Lotus and Umphreys McGee.
