GARP-Vietnam began in 2009, and continues under the leadership of Dr. Nguyen van Kinh, Director of the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases. Its secretariat is the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Hanoi.

Recent Activities

GARP-Vietnam received U.K. funding to improve AMR surveillance, coordination and policy development to support the national plan. Partners include the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, the Health Strategy and Policy Institute and the Ministry of Health.
GARP-Vietnam continues to collaborate with VINARES in the surveillance of hospital-associated infections.
