CDDEP Founder and Director Ramanan Laxminarayan was presented the Dr. Ella Pringle Keynote Lecture medal at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on June 14, 2018.

Dr. Ella Pringle, in 1929, became the first female fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. She studied medicine at a time when women were rarely allowed to enter the profession, and devoted her career to improving Scottish maternity and child welfare.
